FW – Question about AFC Wimbledon. Do you think that you have a good chance of promotion this season because of the partnership that you and Matt Tubbs have?
AA – I think we can get promoted because I feel that we’ve got the right manager. I think that we’ve got a real good team spirit and at the same time I’ve got somebody as clinical as Matty Tubbs to play alongside, and we’ve got great fans.
We went through a little dip last couple of games (losses to Hartlepool, Stevenage and Accrington Stanley and draws with Southend United and Carlisle) and I did not hear one murmur or one moan in the crowd.
I think that this season we’re aiming. You know I think you can only aim high so that’s what we’re going for and we’re going to take a lot of confidence out of beating the top two (Burton Albion and Morecambe) this week just gone. The aim is to finish as high as possible.
FW – Last question. You can bench an astonishing 180 KG, which is the same weight as an average fully-grown male lion. Do you think you one day may be able to break 200 KGs?
AA – I do believe that if I put my mind to it I’ll be able to break it. That just embodies the whole BMO brand (Beast Mode On, Ade’s clothing brand) defying limitations people put on you, and I believe if I put my mind to it I’ll be able to do it. I don’t think my managers would be too happy about doing it, but I do believe I could do 200 KG.
