Martial set for Juventus switch?

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial could be on his way to Italy in the summer with champions Juventus chasing his signature. Reports suggest that the player himself sent his agent to hold talks with the Italian giants so a deal could be on the cards come the transfer window.

The French international joined Manchester United from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and has been successful at old Trafford,  scoring 24 goals in 82 starts and being a very crucial component to the success of the club in recent years. The 22 year old can play as a winger or in a central striker position and is versatile with power, pace and excellent technique,  Martial is a player that will certainly be on the shopping lists of many of the top clubs this summer.

Manchester United are currently 2nd in the Premier League and are enjoying a somewhat successful season given previous years. Despite being knocked out of the champions league in the round of 16 by Sevilla in what was a very disappointing result, United are continually showing why they are one of Europe’s elite. Juventus on the other hand are flying high at the top of the Italian Serie A and are consistently showing season on season why they are the best team in Italy and one of world football’s heavyweights. Currently only having Brazilian Douglas Costa and Juan Cuadrado from Colombia as their go to options on the wing,  they will certainly be looking to strengthen in the summer and Martial would be a top addition without a doubt.

If we see any type of deal come out of this then in my opinion it will be a very good deal for both sides,  with the fee undoubtedly going to be a hefty one,  United are bound to make a lot of money from his sale.  Will the Frenchman want to swap Manchester for Turin? Regardless,  wherever Martial does end up whether he stays in Manchester or moves elsewhere,  he is evidently going to carry on showing the world his class and that he has the potential to become one of the world’s best in the years to come.
