Lewandowski to London?

According to reports coming from The Guardian,  free-scoring Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has attracted interest from Stamford Bridge. The Polish international has been scoring goals for fun in the Bundgesliga for years now,  and it was only a matter of time before he was linked with a move away from the German champions.

Chelsea are a side struggling for form in the premier league at the moment and are currently sitting in 5th place after a string of very poor performances. They will certainly be looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season and if Lewandowski can replicate the form he has produced in Germany over the past few years,  he could certainly be the man for them. If they want any chance of recreating the success from the 2016/17 title winning season,  they will certainly need a player with the reputation and goal scoring ability possessed by Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich on the other hand are flying high at the top of the Bundgesliga like they have been for many years,  and a main factor of their recent success has been Robert Lewandowski. He has all of the attributes needed to succeed at a high level and that his exactly what he has been doing for years,  with his goal scoring records to prove. Consistently performing season on season, the 29-year-old has been highly regarded as one of the top strikers in the world, and you can see why.

If any type of deal comes out of this rumour, it will be a very good bit of business for the London club and although they will undoubtedly have to pay a hefty fee for the Polish international,  for a player of Lewandowski’s stature it is almost guaranteed to be worth it in the end. But will he want to swap The Allianz arena for Stamford Bridge? That is the real question.

What are your thoughts on the rumour?
